Research & Development at Green Engineering

Innovation concerns the introduction of new ideas, goods, services and practices. Most sub-sectors in this sector outline are ready to enter the market. They have passed the demonstration stage and are now in the market introduction phase. This means that the practical application rather than the technology itself is new.
Some very promising developments still in the R&D phase include:

    • Hybrid vehicle

    • Solar Powered passenger vehicle

    • Energy efficient cooking stove technology (Patent pending)

Renewable energy encompasses technologies at all stages of development. Some, such as wind power or hydro-electric, are mature and well-researched. Research and development has a vital role to play in finding new clean technologies, as well as improving existing ones.

Our R&D division is continuing its task by conducting the following in a timely manner maintaining efficiency, integrity and safety of the tested technologies.

  • Energy system design and modification
  • Testing and evaluation
  • Deployment

Optimal design and implementation of renewable energy systems requires knowledge of the resource characteristics at any given location. We at Green Engineering Technologies continuously cooperate with local agencies such as Bureau of Meteorology, Central Environmental Agency of Sri Lanka and also with education institutes including University of Moratuwa and University of Colombo.

We research include but not limited to assessing the annual wind patterns in the South East Asian region, collecting information on temperature, humidity, pressure changes and etc. These data are used for climate change studies, energy system designs, research, renewable energy conversion system testing, and more.

At our company we always welcome people with bright ideas, innovative thinking styles also people who want to create something new or modify an existing design for an increased efficiency.

If you think we can help you with your idea or design or a new concept related to energy generation based on natural resources please feel free to contact one of our company associates at the Research & Development division on

research@greenlk.com and we will be more than happy to discuss with you further.

UAV Projects

A quadrotor, also called a quadrotor helicopter or quadrocopter, is an aircraft that is lifted and propelled by four rotors. Quadrotors are classified as rotorcraft, as opposed to fixed-wing aircraft, because their lift is derived from four rotors. They can also be classified as helicopters, though unlike standard helicopters, quadrotors use fixed-pitch blades, whose rotor pitch does not vary as the blades rotate. Control of vehicle motion can be achieved by varying the relative speed of each rotor to change the thrust and torque produced by each.

There are two generations of quadrotor designs. The first generation quadrotors were designed to carry one or more passengers. These vehicles were among the first successful heavier-than-air vertical take off and landing (VTOL) vehicles.[1] However, early prototypes suffered from poor performance,[1] and latter prototypes required too much pilot work load, due to poor stability augmentation.[
